Practitioner - Stephen Paine, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Remedial Massage, Sports Injuries, Acupuncture
Stephen is a former fire officer having served in Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service for over 21 years. He is a Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineers (GIFireE). Following injury and subsequent early retirement he retrained on a professional Clinical Aromatherapy course gaining a Diploma in Aromatherapy, with credits and distinction and membership of the International Federation of Aromatherapy (MIFA) in 1997. Stephen had also served on the IFA Council. Having attained his City & Guilds teaching qualification, Stephen teaches both Aromatherapy and Body Massage at Colleges of Further Education and also to private clients.

In 1999 Stephen trained directly under Gerry Pyves in No Hands Massage (TM), a system of massage which uses the forearms to a great extent giving a deeply relaxing form of treatment. Stephen has also trained in Sports Injury techniques gaining an advanced certificate in 2000.

During 2001 and 2002 Stephen trained in Usui Reiki attaining Reiki Training Master. In 2004 he trained in Karuna Reiki again attaining Reiki Training Master. Stephen teaches both Uzui and Karuna Reiki up to master level.

Stephen is a founder member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (MILM) having gained a Certificate in Supervisory Management Studies. He is also a full member of the Guild of Professional Practitioners (MGPP), a member of the Complementary Therapists Assocation (CFThA) and is registered with Embody as a professional practitioner and teacher.

Stephen is bound by and practices to the guidelines laid down by both the IFA and the GPP. He is fully insured for all the therapies he practices and teaches. In 2000, Sephen was appointed as a Justice of the Peace and sits on the Bolton bench.

Following the September 11th attacks on New York, along with two colleagues, Stephen was invited to Ground Zero to treat members of the emergency services during their search and recovery operations. Stephen spent 14 days working at Ground Zero and other locations in New York. Upon their return they formed a charity, Rest UK, which provides on site massage to the emergency services during protracted operations. Stephen is a Director of Rest UK and is one of the three members registered by the Home Office to travel with the UK Fire Service search and rescue teams on deployment throughout the world.

During 2009/10 Stephen has been attending Liverpool John Moores University to study Western Medical Acupuncture.
